Services Performed
- Peformed preliminary inspection and retested at no charge to make sure that the work we have done previously was still working correctly. During this time performed a pressure test and pressure found to be at normal levels for coolant system. Recommend Test time
- Found that upper radiator hose and lower radiator hose are at two different temperatures. using a heat gun found that engine at idle got up to 240 Degrees F. Believe that there is a blockage in the system. Recommend starting with a Thermostat, radiator cap, and full coolant system cleaning and flush. Will retest after for any possible additional's
- Inspect hoses and clamps. Pressure test cooling system, install BG cooling system flush, run engine. perform cooling system reverse flush removing accumulated deposits and sluge, (cleans engine block, radiator and heater core) refill the cooling system with OEM spec coolant including BG coolant conditioner. Bring antifreeze to -35 degrees. Check thermostat and electric cooling fan operation.
- Replaced Thermostat, Thermostat Housing, and Thermostat Gasket. Burped the Coolant system and thermostat operated as designed. Performed Full Coolant Service with cleaner, and removed lots of dirt and debris from system. Recommend Performing Coolant Services on a 30k mile interval.
